Yad Avraham Mishna Series: Nezikin Volume 4
Pirkei Avos (Ethics of the Fathers) is the most widely studied tractate of the Mishnah. Focusing on practical, ethical and moral teachings of the Sages, its chapters contain some of the best known and oft-quoted maxims of Jewish philosophy, as well as an additional chapter on the importance of Torah study. While most other tractates emphasize critical and complex aspects of Jewish law, Pirkei Avos emphasizes the Torah values, relationships, motives, and life-principles taught and practiced by our great Sages. The Yad Avraham Mishnah Series is unparalleled in providing a blend of scholarly sources and popular language to make the study of Mishnayos comprehensive and memorable. This latest volume offers the same high quality content and formatting which has made the Yad Avraham series the most popular Hebrew-English rendering of the Mishnah today. Features of this series include: ò All sources are clearly cited ò New English translation distinguished for clarity ò In-depth introduction preceding each tractate ò Hebrew text fully punctuated and vowelized ò Every phrase in the Mishnah is accounted for; no need to refer back and forth from text to commentary. ò Illustrative diagrams to explain concepts ò Prefatory comments to introduce new concepts ò Yad Avraham commentary covering the full range of major, and man secondary, commentaries ò Hebrew text of the commentary of Rabbi Ovadiah Bertinoro
