The Yetzias Mitzrayim Haggadah

The Haggadah tells us: "In every generation, it is one's duty to regard himself as though he personally had gone out of
Egypt." As we sit around our sparkling Seder tables, thousands of miles and thousands of years separate us from our
brethren suffering beneath the burning Egyptian sun; from our ancestors marching triumphantly out of slavery.

How, then, can we fulfill the Haggadah's words? How can we, like our ancestors, go out of Egypt?

The Yetzias Mitzrayim Haggadah brings the Exodus to life by drawing upon the wisdom and words of the Sages. We
see the slavery, the ten plagues, and the final Exodus through the eyes and ears of Chazal and later commentators. The
Yetzias Mitzrayim Haggadah is based on more than 150 sources, from Midrash to Malbim, from the Zohar to Rambam to Rav
Moshe Feinstein, and every entry adds to our understanding of the actual Pesach story.

Designed for maximum impact at the Seder, the entries are short, graphic, and unusually detailed. As we move through
our Seder we can envision the rigors of slavery, Pharaoh's diabolical schemes, the miraculous plagues, the glorious
redemption, and the unforgettable moment as the Jewish People cross the Sea.

Based on the highly-successful Haggadah V'Aggadata, The Yetzias Mitzrayim Haggadah is a unique, innovative
haggadah that will enable us to experience the Exodus at our own Seder, just as we are meant to do.

The Exodus from Egypt. Feel the captivity. Experience the triumph. The Yetzias Mitzrayim Haggadah

It Could Have Been You: Brand new, inspirational stories about people like you

Good stories are entertaining. Inspirational. Illuminating.
Very good stories are electrifying. Stimulating. Unexpected.
The very best stories are life-transforming.
Nachman Seltzer's stories are the very best.

When Nachman Seltzer writes, the words almost seem to leap off the page. There's energy and excitement in his descriptions, his characters, and his unexpected plot twists. And what makes the stories even better is - they are all absolutely true!

Nachman Seltzer is a born storyteller, and people from all over the world share their unusual experiences with him. In It Could Have Been You we will read about 300 Torah scrolls hidden in an abandoned Ukrainian building, waiting to be rescued. We will wonder who sent the mysterious first-class plane tickets to a simple cheder rebbe in Bnei Brak, and why. We will read of lost wallets, lost children, and lost Jewish souls coming back to their heritage. We will meet a man whose skill at Torah reading saves him from losing his life in the rice paddies of Vietnam and hear about the strange presidential curse that finally comes to an end through the power of prayer.

The stories in It Could Have Been You are brand new, and have never before appeared in print. They are powerful, exciting - and absolutely true.

The World that was: Ashkenaz - The legacy of German Jewry 843-1945

Survival and Perseverance in Defiance of Prejudice and Adversity.

From its humble beginnings in Mainz to its shockingly swift and brutal end at the blood-soaked hands of the Nazis,
the Jewish communities of Ashkenaz were a vital link in the chain of Torah transmission, a vibrant and important part of
Jewish life and thought that has influenced Jewry to this very day.

This new addition to the highly-acclaimed The World that Was series gives a panoramic and richly textured view of the
world of Ashkenaz Jewry, in all its splendor and suffering. Carefully researched and beautifully designed with woodcuts,
illustrations, photos, maps and diagrams, The World that Was Ashkenaz takes us on a breathtaking tour of 1700 years of
accomplishment: the development of the Yiddish language; the world of the Ba'alei Tosafos, the Tosafists whose
commentary is an integral part of Talmud study; the shaping of "minhagei Ashkenaz," which were ultimately codified into
Jewish law; the "Torah im Derech Eretz" philosophy of Rabbi Samson Rafael Hirsch.

We meet more than fifty Torah sages who left their mark both on their own generation -- and on ours. From the Ba'al
HaTurim and the Pnei Yehoshua to Rav Samson Rafael Hirsch and Rav Shimon Schwab; from Rabbeinu Gershon, the "Meor
HaGolah," to Moreinu Yaakov Rosenheim, here are profiles of some of the greatest luminaries and leaders the Jewish world
has known. Rounding out this layered picture of Ashkenaz Jewry, eight accomplished contemporary figures share their
memories of life in pre-war Germany in poignant first-person accounts.

The world that was Ashkenaz was a world of extremes: a world of great sages and false messiahs, murderous Crusaders
and saintly Torah giants, men of the spirit and men of the sword. It is a world beautifully captured in this elegant and
important new book.

Hidden gems: Our special children

Hidden Gems: Our Special Children encompasses an exceptional world: the world of children with special
needs, and, even more, the world that is touched by them.

I loved my child so much, but I also wanted her to be "just like everybody else" more than anything ...

In their own words - the words of mothers, fathers, grandparents, siblings, special education professionals, and the
special-needs individuals themselves -- we read of day-to-day triumphs and yes, occasional despair. We meet a woman who
adopted five children with Down syndrome, and another who realized her child would be better off in a residential
facility. A sister speaks honestly of her childhood anger at her special brother; a young boy inspires an entire class
with his determination to walk, no matter what.

My message to others with special-needs is to never give up. No matter how hard it seems sometimes: never give
up.

The narratives in Hidden Gems: Our Special Children are honest and compelling, fascinating and
inspiring. There is no sugar coating the problems, but there is always an abundance of hope and promise for the
future.

When a new baby with Down syndrome is born, I tell the parents, "You will get more nachas - a nachas you could never
imagine - from this child than from any of your others." They think I am crazy. About six months later they say, "Chaya,
you were right..."

Hidden Gems: Our Special Children is a life-transforming work. Reading it sensitizes all of us to the
needs and feelings of special children and those with whom they interact. Even more: we will all be inspired to deal
with our own unique challenges, whatever they may be, with faith, determination, and courage.

Enter the world of the indomitable Abrams family…and meet Yossi and Devoiry
Rosenberg.

She's a dedicated mother, gourmet cooking enthusiast, and slightly compulsive
shopper.

He's a well meaning husband, overly ambitious businessman, and die-hard penny
pincher.

Devoiry's got a lot to juggle. Her tightfisted husband's obsession about saving money
has begun to wreak havoc on the harmony in her home. Her sensitive daughter Malka's
failures at school have eroded her sense of self-worth. Lonely Mr. Weiss needs a shidduch,
son Mordy harbors a secret, and family friend Jessica struggles with doubts as she begins
testing the waters of her heritage.

Devoiry tries desperately to control it all and make everything right. But when
startling things start to happen, she comes to the realization that some things are just
meant to be.

An engaging novel of family and faith, of money and meaning.

Meet the Author:
Azriela Jaffe lives in Highland Park/Edison, NJ, with her husband and three children. The
author of 20 books and the health columnist and features writer for Mishpacha Magazine,
she specializes in creating holocaust memoirs privately commissioned by families of
survivors to preserve their parent's or grandparent's incredible tale of survival for
generations. She also teaches English and public speaking at the Yeshiva at IDT in Newark,
NJ, and spends many hours a week in her new role as "The Chatzos Lady", as many have
called her. She leads a worldwide email and phone support group for women across the globe
who want to elevate their Erev Shabbos preparation, ideally being fully ready for Shabbos
by chatzos, or midday on Friday. She is frequently invited to functions to speak about
this topic and many other topics of interest to Jewish women and families.

Meet her newest release:
In Meant to Be, the third volume of the Abrams Legacy paperback series, readers will join
Devoiry (née Abrams) Rosenberg as she struggles to deal with her husband's tight-fisted
habits, her daughter's failures in school, and a son who harbors a well-guarded secret.
Devoiry attempts to control it all and make everything right, but when startling things
begin to happen, she realizes that some things are just meant to be.

Azriela talks about Meant to Be:
"As the wife of Stephen for 16 years and the mother of three teenagers, I've had plenty of
fodder for Meant to Be (more-true-to-life than I'd care to admit). My characters deal with
real-life stresses like marital disharmony, raising kids, making a livelihood and dealing
with shidduchim. Their pain is real, their responses authentic, and at the end of the
novel, not all tension is resolved - this is real life, after all. To me, the most central
message of my novella is that sometimes, when we plan, G-d laughs, and what is meant to
be, will be."

Rabbi Nechemia Coopersmith, Shaindel Bulman, Bassi Gruen, Naomi Lobl, Rabbi Avi Shafran, Tzvia Ehrlich-Klein as well

stirring.

Enter their worlds, enter their lives.

Meet the Author:
Sarah Shapiro lives with her family in Jerusalem and has been teaching writing in Israel and the United States since
2002. Her first book, Growing With My Children: A Jewish Mother's Diary, was published in 1990, and is regarded as a
groundbreaking work in Orthodox Jewish publishing. Equally groundbreaking was the Our Lives Anthology series she created
and edited, of which All of Our Lives is the most recent volume. The series is widely credited with having planted the
seeds of today's flowering of writing by Orthodox women, which now constitutes a large portion of our society's
literature.

Meet her newest release:
All of Our Lives features the phenomenal literary talent of Jewish writers from all over the world. With essays from
well-known writers such as Jonathan Rosenblum, Sheina Medwed, Chava Dumas, Rabbi Nechemia Coopersmith, Shaindel Bulman,

Sarah talks about All of Our Lives:
" I feel a sense of mission about providing fine literature for Orthodox readers, as well as a venue for Orthodox
authors and poets which can afford to be broader than what's appropriate for the frum magazines. I love to collect and
edit good writing, love dealing with writers from around the world, and love organizing all the incredibly different
voices and perspectives -- all that darkness and all that light, the complete spectrum -- into a unified tapestry.

"I've tried on numerous occasions through the years to give up this pleasurable obsession, but alas, am addicted, and
I'm glad."

A groundbreaking anthology of phenomenal writing.

“Papa, why is Grandpa so against strangers?” Vidal asked.
“Sant Joan Januz is a small village, a nice place to live. If people with different customs started moving in, our
traditions would eventually disappear.”

When Vidal Bonet returns to Sant Joan Januz after getting a business degree in New York, he comes with grandiose
plans for building an upscale resort and breathing new life into the sleepy Catalan village. But he faces fierce
opposition from the traditional villagers, including his beloved grandfather.

When Chaim Green, an Jewish anthropology student from Kansas, arrives in Sant Joan Januz it's with a dream of
discovering the distant relatives his Nona Anna wrote about in her five-hundred-year-old diary. He hopes to uncover
descendants of Anusim, Jews who pretended to be Christian while clinging to their Jewish customs. Instead he finds a
wall of silence, false leads, and thinly veiled hostility.

Vidal and Chaim are both determined to fulfill their dreams, but the two visions soon collide. Only one can win, and
the result will change them, and the people of Sant Joan Januz, forever.

This breathtaking novel seamlessly weaves the tortured past with the conflicted present. Originally offered as a
popular serialization in Mishpacha Magazine, talented author Libi Astaire has expanded the story to create a beautifully
crafted, intriguing novel about familial connections, ancient traditions, and the endurance of the Jewish people.

Meet the Author:
Libi Astaire is an author and journalist who lives in Jerusalem. Her feature articles about Jewish history appear
regularly in Mishpacha Magazine, which sent her to Catalonia, Spain, to research Catalonia's lost Jewish communities.
The result was Terra Incognita, which was serialized in the magazine before being published by Targum Press. Originally
from Prairie Village, Kansas - "famous" for being part of the Santa Fe Trail that American pioneers used when traveling
west - Libi looked east, instead, and developed an early love of English literature and history, which she finally got
to put to good use when she authored The Disappearing Dowry (Zahav Press), a historical mystery that was named a 2010
Sydney Taylor Notable Book by the Association of Jewish Libraries. The second volume in the mystery series, The Ruby Spy
Ring, is scheduled for release in the spring of 2010.

Meet her newest release:
Terra Incognita is a novel about modern-day descendents of crypto-Jews in Spain. Set in St. Joan Januz, a provincial
village deep in the heart of Catalonia, it portrays an isolated community who cling fiercely to their family traditions
and harbor an inexplicable fear of strangers. When outsiders arrive, determined to reveal the fiery, age-old secrets
that lie deep within this sleepy village, the villagers must confront their deepest fears--and the truth of their
existence. Originally offered as a popular serialization in Mishpacha Magazine, Libi has expanded the story to create a
beautifully crafted, intriguing book about familial connections, ancient traditions, and the endurance of the Jewish
people.

Libi talks about Terra Incognita:
“On the surface, Terra Incognita is a novel about descendents of Anusim - the Jews of Spain who were forced to convert,
but who still secretly clung to their Jewish faith. But on a deeper level, it's a journey of personal discovery that
will resonate with anyone who has ever gone on a quest to reclaim their Jewish heritage.”

A breathtaking novel of family and tradition.

LIVING IN THE ILLUMINATED SHADOW
This is the incredible story of the renowned tzaddik Rav Yonason Steif zt"l, told through the eyes and memories of his
one and only daughter. This captivating biography follows Rav Steif during his youth, earlier years, and later as Chief
Rabbi in Budapest. It documents his miraculous escape during the War to Switzerland and his consequent relocation to
America. He was a man who weathered the fiery storm of Churban Europe and then fanned the meager flames of renewal and
revival on these shores.

Small in stature but a giant in Torah, Rav Yonason Steif became a familiar figure in Williamsburg (NY) and throughout
the world. During the fifties, he was the Rav of the Vienne kehillah where he was beloved and revered until his last day.
He was recognized everywhere for his profound wisdom and devoutness, his extreme piety, as well as being the epitome of
humility. His name is well remembered for all these qualities, yet little has been published about this great luminary.
The Life and Times of Rabbi Yonason Steif tells the powerful story of the life and achievements of this gadol and
preserves them for generations.

The laws of speech with stories and parables - for all ages.

The "shemiras halashon revolution" that swept the Torah world showed us how
important - and, yes, how possible - it is for us to speak in accordance with the laws of
proper speech. But how can we present those laws, with their many details and rules, in a
way that is enjoyable reading for all ages? How can we inspire ourselves, our families,
and, most important, our children, to truly follow the laws of proper speech?

The Family Lesson a Day shows us how.

Like the stunningly successful A Lesson A Day, which helped bring the importance of
shemiras halashon to the general public, The Family Lesson a Day adapts the
teachings of the Sefer Chofetz Chaim, based on the daily learning schedule created by the
legendary Manchester Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yehuda Zev Segal zt'l. Specifically crafted for
family use, each daily lesson includes true stories and delightful parables that bring the
laws of proper speech to life. Each day's lesson also contains an inspiring one sentence
excerpt from the Chofetz Chaim's Sefer Shemiras HaLashon that conveys the beauty and
importance of proper speech.

The Family Lesson a Day is down-to-earth, informative, and inspiring. It will be
appreciated by young and old, parent and child. It can be read and discussed at home, at
the dinner table, or in the classroom.

And it will change your life as you learn and incorporate the Chofetz Chaim's timeless
teachings on the laws of shemiras halashon.

Aleinu L'Shabei'ach

Wisdom, stories, and inspiration

Few contemporary books have had the impact that Aleinu L'Shabei'ach has had on the Torah world. Tens of
thousands of copies have been read and re-read by a vast and varied group: Torah scholars and laymen, students and
teachers, men and women. Based on the private writings, shiurim, and conversations with Rav Yitzchok Zilberstein, a son-
in-law of Rav Elyashiv shlita, and a noted rav and posek in his own right, Aleinu L'Shabei'ach is a
remarkable compendium of Torah wisdom, stories of great men, anecdotes, mussar, and insight into our daily lives and
challenges.

Aleinu L'Shabei'ach includes a stunning range of stories, based on pesukim from each parashah. From the
study halls of Europe to a rebbetzin's kitchen; from a road- rage attack in Bnei Brak to the Chasam Sofer's visit to the
Queen of Austria; here are stories that both pique the imagination and bring us new understanding of the messages that the
Torah has come to teach.

But Aleinu L'Shabei'ach is far more than a storybook. Its explanations of the verses are profound and yet
readable, shedding new light on the meaning of each word of the Torah. Every story, every moral teaching, is infused with
emunah and bitachon.

Every word of Aleinu L'Shabei'ach -- challenges us to become better, greater, deeper people, more in
touch with Hashem's kindness to us, and more aware of His presence in our lives.

wild new friends, Libby is having a miserable summer. Then she meets outgoing Rebecca Klein,
an observant Jewish girl from the neighborhood. Libby experiences the ethereal beauty of her
first Shabbos, and embarks upon a powerful journey into a whole new world. But her mother is
bewildered by her new ideas, her father is furious and the rest of the family thinks she's

Will the candlelight of Libby's flickering flames give her the strength she needs to

Exciting and thought-provoking, this is a powerful story about family and tradition, and

THE STORY OF R' YONA TIEFENBRUNNER AND THE HUNDREDS HE SAVED

When World War II broke out in all its fury, Reb Yona Tiefenbrunner was a simple German Jew who had just begun building
a family. But then, in a heartbeat, he made a life choice that few of us would ever be able to contemplate, much less
embrace, and changed his life forever. R' Yona opened an orphanage in Antwerp under the ever watchful eyes of the Gestapo.
Overnight, he became a hero, a father to hundreds of traumatized and tortured Jewish orphans. This is his story. The
children referred to him simply as "Monsieur," but they knew that he would risk his life to save them. Courageous,
defiant, and unyielding, R' Yona infused his orphanage with Torah, love, and tranquility - creating a safe haven in a
world of death and destruction. Even when the war was over and others tried to put the past behind them, R' Yona and his
wife did not cease to nurture and educate these children as their own; rebuilding their shattered spirits and giving them
a chance at life. This is a gripping tale of altruism and self sacrifice in the face of terrible danger, of miraculous
salvation, and of the healing power of love. It is a testimony to the phenomenal powers of devotion and steadfast faith,
and a lesson in how they can spur us onto to accomplish great things.

The pastoral boarding school near Tiberias is roiling with emotion and turbulence as each of its twenty-eight young

for overcoming these difficulties that lies within the characters--and our own selves. Can Koby ever recover from his
terrible, guilty secret? How will Aryeh, a pampered only child, react when he finds himself utterly abandoned? And then
there's Moshe, who faithfully records the day-to-day events--trials and tribulations--in his worn yelow notebook. Will he
learn to cope with the ultimate challenge? An absorbing, powerful story beckons...

Recipes from the bride who knew nothing

This is the hilarious story of Jamie Geller, a spunky young TV exec who came into marriage and kosher cooking without
knowing a spatula from a saucepan. Determined to master cooking, yet pressed for time, she was dismayed to find that
most
cookbooks consider an hour of preparation time quick, and presumed more culinary skill than many of us have. So Jamie
set
out to compile her own special collection of quick and easy recipes and Quick & Kosher is the result of her quest.

This one-of-a-kind cookbook contains more than 160 recipes requiring no more than 15 minutes to prepare, 120 full-
color
photos, clear step-by-step instructions, reliable prep and cooking times, tips and techniques, and advice on pairing
wines
with various dishes. Recipes range from traditional to exotic, and are well indexed and cross-referenced.

Several special sections such as "Setting up Your Kitchen," "Secrets of the 15-Minute Chef" and "Shopping Like an
Expert" are the result of extensive insider interviews with food professionals who helped facilitate Jamie's path to
culinary mastery. These sections offer practical answers to the questions you've always wanted to ask: how do I buy
meat,
fish, produce, groceries, and wine?

Is this a cookbook? An autobiography? A kitchen handbook for brides? It is all of these and more, for Quick & Kosher
will amuse, inspire - and teach even skilled cooks a thing or two. "I wrote Quick & Kosher" says Jamie Geller, "because
you and I are in the same boat. We want to serve up something tantalizing for dinner, but between kids, careers, and
carpools, we have no time to patchka!"

A Beatifull and well-written biography of the famous City of Belz and its great Rabbis.

This volume will be a real treasure to every Jewish heart interested or involved in Belz research or its' Chassidic
Dynasty. It contains the biography, history and fascinating stories of all Belze Rabbis and the Town of Belz, starting
from the time of the Bach and the B'eir Heitiv. It tells about other great Rabbis who came to visit the Belzer Rabbis and
about the yoshvim in Belz – (Jews who left their families and settled in the Belzer Synagogue to engage in Torah studies
and derive inspiration from their Rebbe. They were supported by local businessmen and their food and other necessities
were brought to them so they wouldn't have to leave the synagogue for even a short time. They typically remained in this
program until the Rebbe would tell them to return home to their wives and families). In addition, this book includes a
vast collection of essays, documents, copies of newspapers and admirable photographs from people, Rabbis, synagogues and
other places of the Belze Town.

Torah for your table

The power of Torah. The power of change.

Central to the life of the Jewish family is the time they spend together around the
Shabbos and Yom Tov table -- a warm and convivial setting that invites conversation and
the exchange of thoughts and ideas. Yet words alone do not make for an elevated Shabbos
experience; when the discussion around the table is mundane and inconsequential, the
experience is rendered similarly meaningless. But when the “table talk” is enhanced by
Torah ideas that can be applied to daily life, then even the most simple meal becomes a
vehicle for personal growth and transformation.

The power of the Torah to change lives is a concept that the authors of an
extraordinary new collection of essays, Torah for Your Table, understand well. Through
their work for Hineini -- the pioneering Jewish outreach organization founded and headed
by their mother, renowned author and lecturer Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis -- Rabbis Yisroel
and Osher Anshel Jungreis have personally witnessed and played a role in the spiritual
renewal of tens of thousands of Jewish neshomos. With their new book, the authors continue
their holy mission to bring Torah to Jews; wherever they are and whatever their level of
observance, Torah for Your Table speaks to one and all.

Compiled by Rebbetzin Jungreis, who knows from vast personal experience how Torah words
can elevate every heart and penetrate even the most distant Jewish neshama, these
beautifully crafted essays on the weekly Torah portions lend timeless relevance to our
lives. But it is not only around the Shabbos table that this book can make a difference.
Its wisdom is applicable in every setting -- in one's own home or at formal or informal
gatherings.

Whether you are a newcomer to Torah thought or have dedicated many years to its study,
Torah for Your Table will enhance the flavor of your every meal.
