Prince of the Torah Kingdom

Prince of the Torah Kingdom is a memorial to Rav Simchah Zissel Broide zt"l, Rosh Yeshiva Knesses Yisrael ("Chevron"). It is also a history of the yeshiva itself, from its origins in Slobodka, Lithuania, to its growth in Chevron, to its ultimate home in the Givat Mordechai neighborhood of Yerushalayim. The life story of the Rosh Yeshiva and the history of the yeshiva are inseparable. He came at 13 to learn when the yeshiva was still in Chevron, and stayed for the rest of his life.

For 75 years (1925-2000), Rav Broide learned, taught, inspired, and motivated within the yeshiva as it moved from Chevron to Geulah to Givat Mordechai. Prince of the Torah Kingdom describes in detail the Rosh Yeshiva's derech in learning, teaching, Avodas Hashem, and personal conduct. Filled with over 350 photographs, this book is a fascinating look at the life of an extraordinary Gadol, and the history of one of the most distinguished yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel. It is a look at a Prince of Torah and the Kingdom in which he dwelt.
